We’re excited to announce the beta launch of Map View 2.0 – our most powerful update yet! 🎉 This beta launch brings you powerful new tools designed to make mapping faster, easier, and more insightful.
Try it now for free!
During this beta phase (for a limited time), these features are available to all users for free. It’s your chance to explore the latest tools and provide feedback that helps us make Birdi even better. (Don't have a Birdi account yet? Book your demo here).
You’ll now find all your media, annotations, basemaps, WMTS links and processed outputs under a single Layers tab. This will give you the flexibility to move, view and group your layers in a way that works for you.
Easily calculate volumes with a dedicated volumetric layer that keeps things simple. Download your results and share them or dig deeper—whatever fits your workflow.
Explore your data in 3D with support for point clouds and tiled meshes. Move between 3D and 2D views effortlessly, keeping all your annotations intact for a seamless experience.
Access a library of publicly available base maps and customize their opacity for better visualization. Connect external WMTS URLs to bring in additional layers and expand your geospatial insights.
View your data and annotations in a clear table format, making it easy to manage. Need to share or analyze it? Just export everything as a CSV.
Birdi now supports vector file uploads, including shapefiles, KMLs, GeoJSON, and DXF formats. Each file is added as a layer in the map view, making it easier to organize, analyze, and interact with your geospatial data.
Click on any layer to open the layer toolbox. From here you can style, customize and edit the layer, giving you full control at your fingertips.
Currently, you can only create new maps within the new Map View. Your existing maps will still be accessible as they are now. To create a new map in the new Map View, follow the steps in this knowledge base article: How to create a Birdi 2.0 map
